I’m a marine engineer turned financial consultant.

I used to sail the seven seas and experienced life beyond imagination (ask me about it!). However, the solitary life with no connectivity and the mundane routine talking to machineries everyday forced me to rethink my options.

I eventually took a leap of faith to step into the Financial Services industry after starting a family of my own as this career offers time flexibility and the opportunity to establish meaningful relationships with individuals and families from varying backgrounds.

I can now effectively juggle time between my work and family, and even managed to rekindle old friendships lost during my sailing career. I enjoy playing basketball and soccer with my old buddies and even take time to have the occasional mahjong sessions with my clients.

Looking back on this career as a father of two young children, the only regret I have is not joining Ascension Partners earlier.
